Challenge
Build the ultimate Beer Tap Rig.
Materials used
Marine Plywood, CNC Machine, Saw, Wheels, Hinges, Electronic Temperature Controller
The first part to making this is how to get the taps out of the side of it. I didn’t want to drill holes in the side, so instead I built a collar around the top for the taps to go through. Knowing that there will be moisture in there I painted the collar with marine grade paint to keep the wood protected.
Adam also requested one of his logos to be put on the front. So, with my CNC machine I programmed and routed his logo into the plywood and coincidently got the depth to hit a cool looking red streak through the plywood which added a great effect.
Putting it on wheels, building custom hinges to allow the top to be removed completely, routing vents up the side and rewiring it to use an electronic temperature controller all added to the coolness of this project.
